Welcome

The Natural Rearing Breeders Association (NRBA) is a premier organization founded and launched in 2009 by a natural rearing breeder and certified animal naturopath, Dr. Jeannie Thomason who has raised her dogs naturally/holistically” since 1989.

Just imagine a group of members from all over the world, who belong to a membership that is actively contributing to increasing the health and longevity of our dogs.

Members of the NRBA are dog breeders, animal naturopaths, and those individuals who believe in the benefits of a chemical free , natural life style and feeding a species appropriate raw diet to their dogs. As responsible breeders we understand that increasing the genetic possibilities from one dedicated natural rearing breeder to another helps strengthen and create a more genetically sound dog.

The NRBA believes that the foundation of optimal health for our carnivorous companions is a species appropriate, raw diet that God designed and made available in nature and on which the species has thrived since their beginnings.

We believe that when our dogs are fed a species appropriate diet, it eliminates the need for unnecessary yearly vaccinations and toxic pest/parasite products. We advocate the use of alternative/complementary therapies for dogs when needed, including but not limited to: herbs, homeopathy, aromatherapy, acupressure, and more. Naturopathic and/or true holistic veterinary care is recommended when needed and promoted.

Members of NRBA who have feed their dogs a species appropriate natural diet have actually seen illnesses disappear, vet bills plummet and a new, healthier generation of dogs come into being.

We offer links to help you find a true natural animal health practitioner in your area as well as naturopaths and/or practitioner who offer online and/or phone consultations.

Membership is open to breeders, natural animal health care providers and individuals who follow the Natural Rearing Breeders Association code of ethics to raise and care for their dogs in a healthy, conscientious, natural way.

Those interested in joining the NRBA must complete the application (available to download from this site) and provide the information required.

NRBA requires all members to read, agree to and sign a code of ethics

Our goals are to be the most prestigious and influential Natural Rearing Association for Breeders and like-minded professionals to be synonymous with integrity.

We strive to provide awareness to the dog community as well as provide ongoing educational forums courses and webinars/ seminars for our members introducing age old, natural modalities that might be integrated into the existing breeding program or present and explain the options for owners interested in raising their dogs naturally.

The NRBA is dedicated to educating, developing and nurturing natural rearing breeders of dogs (and soon -cats) as well as those interested in caring for their pets in the best and most natural way possible, world-wide!

We are and will continue to be the premier educational and informational leader on the Internet for the support of natural rearing and natural rearing breeders. We invite you to join us and become a member.

Thank you,
Founder & Director
Dr Jeanette (Jeannie) Thomason
